YETILAND

A research-based project developed in September 2024 at Bastionen, Malmö through the Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s international Recidency.
 

If I say I exist - doesn't that determine my existence? Can I exist if it is only me? If I am the only being that is like me, that looks like me?

In an atmospheric collage, the performance "Yetiland" explores questions of identity, belonging and the connection of stories that we tell (ourselves) in order to understand the world and its mysteries. What happens to a creature uncertain of its own existence? 
On the journey to finding the Yeti, we follow a wanderer searching for Yetiland and the weave of characters they meet along their way.
